The exterior of the Guest House is designed based on the traditional architectural concept of Penglipuran Village, emphasizing harmony between culture, the environment, and the village’s spatial layout. The building maintains a visual character that blends seamlessly with its surroundings, avoiding a modern appearance that would contrast with the area. Instead, it harmoniously complements the identity of this cultural tourism village.

The main feature of the exterior design is the use of a bamboo roof as a dominant architectural element. The bamboo roof not only serves as the building’s roofing but also represents local wisdom and environmental sustainability. The use of bamboo reflects the responsible utilization of natural resources while preserving the traditional architectural heritage that has become an integral part of Penglipuran Village’s identity.

Visually, the bamboo roof creates a natural, warm, and authentic atmosphere, offering guests a distinctive accommodation experience compared to typical modern lodging.
